About Us
Plummer Public Library serves the city of Plummer and the surrounding area residents of Benewah, Kootenai, Shoshone and Latah counties. Val-net cards are also accepted. Your Plummer Library card is accepted at the aforementioned libraries as well. You only need one card. To apply for a library card, you need photo id and proof of current residency. Plummer Library is a member of Washington-Idaho Network, Cooperative Information Network, and OCLC which gives you much broader access to materials outside of the local collection.
The Library Services section of this website provides information about services available in the library as well as services you can access from your own home and how to order materials outside the local library.
The staff at Plummer Library is at your service and welcomes your reference questions by phone (686-1812), email or in person.
The library offers a variety of programs throughout the year such as the summer reading program, pre-school story time, Idaho Family Reading Week activities and Internet Demonstrations for beginners and Senior Citizens. Click on the "Library Programs" section to find out more.
Friends of the Library is an active group of volunteers who support the library by fundraising efforts and advocacy.
Plummer Public Library has been at its present location since 1943. Voters recently approved a $500,000 bond to help fund a new building.
